North Star Venue
North Star Art Gallery makes coming here a very unique experience. The gallery is in a 2-story addition to the house and is open for your guests to enjoy. This is a fine art gallery, and by that, we mean museum-quality representational art, much of it by our Artist-in-Residence Brian Keeler. This space can accommodate seated dinner for up to 30 guests. It is also one of our excellent reception areas. It is very easy for guests to move from the gallery to the gardens and grounds behind the building.
The Music Room connects to the gallery and is the heart of the house.
Many joyful house concerts and receptions have used this room. There is a fine quarter grand Chickering piano and a wooden floor for dancing. Musicians have noted the excellent acoustics.. The flow of rooms offers opportunities for conversation, and mixing among all the guests.
- The Grand Foyer connects all rooms on the first floor, with triple doors to the music room, triple doors to the salon, double entrance doors, and doors to the kitchen, guest bathroom and stairs. With its wide plank floors it doubles as more dance space and allows easy expansion of activities from the music room.
The Salon… is set up with comfortable sofas and chairs but this room can also be cleared to accommodate a wedding ceremony, dancing, music, reception area. It also can serve as a meeting room for a distraction free corporate or small group meeting.
The kitchen is large, functional and charming. There are two large bay windows with ornamental tables for additional serving space, a large central butcher block island that can be used for a buffet with chafing dishes, commercial stove and plenty of food preparation space for our chef.
The Grounds and Gardens - Our 3.5 acres of grounds, gardens, ponds, walks with benches, patio for dancing all offer opportunities for mixing, conversation, relaxing.
